*IMPORTANT TAX INFORMATION

Fringe Benefit Tax Information

The IRS defines a "Fringe Benefit" as any form of pay (including property, services, cash, or cash equivalent) that is in addition to the employee’s regular pay.

All types of pay need to be taxed as income, unless an exclusion applies, and included on the employee’s W2. The way that will happen is through a code in ADP called TFB (Taxable Fringe Benefit). This code will appear as an Earning Code and a Deduction Code.

ALL REDEEMED BILL BUCKS WILL BE TAXED. **The taxable amount will be based on your W4 setup in ADP.

For example, if you redeem $1,000 in Bill Bucks, then ADP will add $1,000 to your check, so that it is included in your taxable earnings. ADP will then deduct the $1,000, so the effect on your check is that you end up paying the taxes on that $1,000.
